Had a comfy 4-night stay with my son and dog. The family room was clean and spacious with good amenities. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of choices. The hosts were welcoming and accommodating. Loved the relaxing lounge area and proximity to scenic walks! 🐾

But honestly, the room needs a bit of an update—those windows could do with a makeover! You'd think we were in an antique shop with some of the decor!

I had the most delightful stay here! The breakfasts were out of this world, especially the homemade granola, fresh and flavorful. I loved the private bathroom with a deep bath and the gorgeous views from my twin room overlooking the meadows.

Had an awesome time with friends at this guesthouse! Perfectly located near a lovely lakeside walk on Derwent Water, we enjoyed stunning views every morning while having a hearty breakfast that filled us up for the day. The hosts were super friendly and even helped us with great packed lunches for our adventures. If you’re looking to explore the local area, this place is spot on!

One minor hiccup was the limited selection at the honesty bar – it could definitely use a bit more variety!

We had an amazing time exploring the stunning lakeside walk on Derwent Water and enjoyed the convenience of getting back on the Keswick launch. The hosts were warm and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was diverse with plenty of options, and the spacious rooms meant we could kick back after our adventures.

One downside was the noise from the toilet flush, which was a bit disruptive during the night.

Just a balanced option for a brief pit stop in Bassenthwaite Lake with outstanding value. I really appreciated the comfy beds and the fantastic size of the luxurious bath towels during my stay. Make sure to take a walk around the area for some stunning views.
